As part of making this whole process easy for you, we’ve also included the ClimateSmart Home Service as part of the EzyGreen options. This energy-efficiency service is run by the Queensland Government to help reduce household carbon emissions and lower your energy bills, making a contribution to a sustainable, clean and green Brisbane future.
As part of the service, a licensed electrician will visit your home and conduct an assessment of the power usage in your home. You will receive:
- four stand-by power eliminators, helping households reduce their stand-by power usage (NEW)
- temperature adjustment to electric hot water systems’ thermostats to increase efficiency and reduce water heating bills (NEW)
- a wireless energy monitor installed by a licensed electrician
- an energy audit of your home
- low-flow shower-rose
- up to five compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs).
The service takes less than an hour and you can book an appointment at a time that suits you: Monday - Saturday, 7am - 7pm.
The cost of the service is $50.
