How will my plan work?
You will receive a discount of more than 9% on your electricity consumption costs. The discount is made up of a 3% guaranteed discount on your electricity and an additional 7% discount applied if you pay on time.
Your electricity plan will consist of two components. EnergyAustralia's Everyday Saver is the base plan and EnergyAustralia GreenPower accredited renewable energy is the GreenPower component. EnergyAustralia GreenPower is GreenPower accredited and will be displayed as an additional cost on your bill.

How much does it cost?
If you're not on a current contract, it costs nothing to make the switch. From the time you do, you start saving more than 9% off the standard electricity charges.
At the moment GreenPower costs a little more than standard electricity. The cost of the GreenPower depends on the percentage of your electricity consumption you choose to buy as GreenPower. The 10% GreenPower product would cost the average southeast Queensland household an additional $48.91 each year or under $1 a week. (Based on southeast Queensland average consumption of 7 800kWh per annum)
What does GreenPower accreditation mean?
When you switch to EnergyAustralia GreenPower, an amount of electricity equivalent to the percentage of your electricity use you have chosen will be sourced from a renewable energy source approved under the GreenPower Accreditation Program.
Who is supplying this service?
EnergyAustralia are offering more than 9% off the electricity supply costs for all Greater Brisbane residents who sign up for GreenPower with the energy supplier through EzyGreen.

How does GreenPower work?
Most electricity comes from non-renewable, carbon reducing sources such as coal and gas. By switching to EnergyAustralia you will be offsetting at least 10% of your electricity bill with energy that is from a renewable source.
When you choose one of EnergyAustralia's GreenPower options you are instructing them to purchase the equivalent percentage or all of your electricity from accredited renewable sources approved under the GreenPower accreditation program and return it to the National Electricity Grid on your behalf. Your electricity supply does not change when you switch to GreenPower – you will continue to receive your electricity supply from the grid which is made up of a mix of generation sources. By switching to a EnergyAustralia GreenPower option, you are investing in the development and expansion of accredited renewable energy generation facilities across Australia.
Do I need to transfer my electricity account to the supplier?
Yes, but it's easy. It takes only two minutes on our web site or the EzyGreen call centre can fill out an EnergyAustralia callback form for you and a EnergyAustralia representative will call you to arrange the switch for you.
What happens if I change my mind?
Once you have signed up, you will be under contract from EnergyAustralia and you may have to pay an exit fee. Click here for full terms and conditions
When will I get my powerboard and bonus offer?
To receive your energy saving powerboard and your chosen bonus offer you need to be a customer of EnergyAustralia for 30 days after signup. Your pack will be posted to you within two weeks from this date.
